Gymnast of the Week: Skye Kerico (Penn)

Penn’s standout gymnast Skye Kerico has been named the Gymnastics East Conference Gymnast of the Week after a record-setting performance. Kerico dazzled on bars, recording a 9.950, the second-best individual bars score in program history and Penn’s highest since 2001, placing second at Temple. She joined an elite group of fewer than 20 NCAA gymnasts this season to achieve that mark or better. Her efforts helped Penn post a 49.075 on bars, the fourth-best team score in program history. Kerico also excelled on vault, scoring 9.800 to secure second place, tying for the best vault score among all GEC gymnasts this week. Rounding out her stellar meet, she earned a 9.750 on floor, finishing fourth.

Specialist of the Week: Julia Bedell (Brown)

Brown’s Julia Bedell has been honored as the Gymnastics East Conference Specialist of the Week following an amazing performance against UNH and Yale. Bedell delivered her first 9.900 of the season on floor, tying for second overall and helping Brown achieve a new season-high team score in the event. Her 9.900 also ties her own mark for 12th in program history, making it the sixth time in her career she has hit that score. She also impressed on vault, scoring 9.750 to finish in a third-place tie.

Newcomer of the Week: Hailey Kriz (Yale)

Yale’s Hailey Kriz has been named the Gymnastics East Conference Newcomer of the Week after another standout performance. Kriz showcased her consistency and grit, starting strong with a 9.700 on bars and beam, tying for sixth place on both events. She saved her best for last as Yale’s vault anchor, debuting her Yurchenko layout full and sticking the landing for a 9.775, which earned her a first-place tie. Kriz continues to make a significant impact for Yale, proving her reliability across multiple events.
