Philadelphia, PA – The University of Pennsylvania's gymnastics team has once again demonstrated their dominance in the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC), securing their fourth consecutive regular-season championship. The Quakers achieved an impressive National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.345 and maintained a flawless 10-0 conference record, underscoring their consistent excellence since the GEC's inception.
Head coach Kirsten Becker expressed immense pride in her team's accomplishments, stating, "I’m so proud of our team earning the regular season title. In our pre-season meetings with our student-athletes, we told them this was the most important goal to us as coaches because it shows consistency over time and really showing up to prepare from September to January. Their hard work truly paid off! But now it’s time to show up for game time this weekend!"
The Quakers are set to host the GEC Championships on Saturday, March 22, at The Palestra, their home venue. The competition will be divided into two sessions:
Session 1: Featuring the GEC teams ranked 5th-8th, including Cornell, William & Mary, West Chester, and Southern Connecticut.
Session 2: Showcasing the top four teams—Penn, Yale, Brown, and Bridgeport.
Fans and supporters are encouraged to attend and witness all GEC teams compete in a championship that highlights a season of dedication, resilience, and unparalleled teamwork.
